Young Co-operatives

Young Co-operatives give young people a practical introduction to co-operative enterprise by helping them to set up and run their own ethical businesses.
Their involvement provides the opportunity to learn business skills, co-operative and democratic working, and knowledge of ethical and global trade issues. Young people focus on supporting Fair Trade and developing awareness of how this can help to alleviate poverty in the world as well as horticulture and recycling businesses.
In addition, schools which use ASDAN’s accreditation programmes will be able to offer their Young Co-operative members the opportunity to achieve the Co-perative Enterprise Award.
