The Industrial Trust

The Industrial Trust is a national organisation which aims to motivate, educate and inform young people and those who influence them. It works to inspire young people to acquire the qualifications, skills and personal attributes needed to enter careers to sustain the UK economy.
Some of its key areas of activity include:
•       Raise awareness of business enterprises in Yorkshire, the types of goods and services they produce, and types of employment opportunities they provide.
•       Enable students to engage fully with cross curricula subjects through explicit linkages between classroom concepts and real world contexts.
•       Enable students to begin to associate themselves with a wide variety of interesting and challenging careers, and the types of qualifications, skills and behaviours they require.
Since its inception in Yorkshire in 1999 the Trust has developed considerable expertise in developing programmes in partnership with schools and businesses.
