Schools’ Enterprise Education Network

Schools’ Enterprise Education Network

The Schools’ Enterprise Education Network (S’EEN), which is managed by the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust, and based on a model of 51 leading ‘enterprise hub’ schools, and 226 ‘enterprise spoke’ schools working with all secondary schools and special schools across England. Was launched in 2006 by the DfES

The Schools’ Enterprise Education Network ensures that all English secondary schools and special schools are supported to be able to offer enterprise continuing professional development (CPD) to their staff of the highest quality. S’EEN focuses on providing networked CPD to engage all school staff, coaching and mentoring support, and a hub website for enterprise education, to enable them to draw enterprise learning from their teaching and learning and leadership practices, and empower them to adapt enterprise pedagogy, so that all students in all schools benefit from enterprise education throughout their learning.

National Enterprise Education website - www.enterpriseinschools.org.uk

The DfES have funded, as part of the S’EEN programme, a national enterprise education website bringing together for the first time all enterprise education policy, national guidance, resources, exemplification, strategies, curriculum ideas, and solutions for all secondary schools and special schools in England. A main feature of the site will be access to the 51 enterprise hub websites giving teachers and school leaders, students and parents, and other enterprise stakeholders access to leading practices in enterprise education in each of the 51 hubs.
