Rhema Youth Works

The aim of Rhema Youth Works is to work with and build
positive relationships with young people aged 13-19 years old.
Rhema Youth Works aims to see young people reconnected with
relevant training and eventually, work opportunities through
offering:
Support - individual support for young people and support
groups.  Finding out what the needs of individual young people
are i.e. practical, physical, educational.
Learning- we want to support young people in getting involved
in good quality, relevant learning and training. We will help
young people to access the training that will best suit the
requirements of the young person.  We provide training through
a Supported Learning Programme for Year 9,10&11pupils from
local secondary schools.
Activities - we work with young people to provide activities
that will have both a social and educational edge to them,
such as recreational activities, day trips and sports
activities.
Information - we want young people to make informed choices
about their lives, we will therefore offer information on
issues such as drug use, sexual health, childcare, benefits
and housing issues, faith and belief.

Our work is based within our resource centre for young
people. The centre has social and learning spaces with
resources such as Broadband Internet, DJ Decks, 16 track
Digital music recording studio, rehearsal room, video editing
and social activities such as café area, pool and Playstation.

We facilitate open youth work sessions to young people during
the afternoon and evening throughout the week.
