Apprentice day (Post 16) - The Guildhall

The apprentice enterprise day at the Guildhall saw 120 young people modern apprenticeship trainees from Hull TEC, Youth Apprentices, Skills Academy, Careers Choices and Hull ITeC, all part of Hull Training, along with teams from Hull College and the University of Hull, learn about how they could make their mark with their business ideas and skills.
A challenge was set for the apprentices to bring their ideas in front of a panel in a Dragon's Den-style activity.
The judges, the "bears", decided they would invest in the team from Hull TEC (pictured) because of their innovative ideas using everyday products.
The young people also heard from blind adventurer Miles Hilton Barber and Hull born entrepreneur Mally Welburn.
