Enterprise 2012 Olympic Activity  

On Friday 26th March 2010 40 Year 8 students from Malet Lambert School Language College took part in the Enterprise 2012 Get Set Olympic Challenge.  Students  had the opportunity to learn about the basic principles of enterprise, Sales and Marketing, Finance, Target setting.  Students worked in teams and were tasked to promote the Olympics and use their creative thinking skills to design a new national stadium.

 

Students used interactive Olympic equipment as part of the day.   This gave a flavour of some the events that will be on show at the 2012 Olympic Games.  Overall the day was thoroughly enjoyed by all students in supporting their development of entrepreneurial skills and capabilities.

Stephen Logan, Aim Higher Co-ordinator at Malet Lambert School Language College said " We were really pleased that Hull City Council and the Hull Youth Enterprise Partnership secured the Get Set Olympic Challenge for the school. It was a great opportunity not only to learn about the Olympics, but also the multi-million pound business behind the games"
