The Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce, established in 1837, is part of the British Chambers of Commerce network: the UK’s largest private sector business support organisation. Owned and controlled by local businesses, it is committed to meeting local business needs. The Chamber offers a range of services to help start ups and small firms grow.
Its services include:
- Policy - A business voice on behalf of local industry and commerce to all key
policy makers as part of the UKs largest private sector business support 
  organisation.
- Networking - Networking events including business lunches, annual dinners,
golf days and business exhibition events.
- International – The Chamber’s International Trade Team can advise businesses
  about dealing with overseas markets and also provide a documentation
  service.
- Chamber Training - This subsidiary company of the Chamber operates in
  numerous sectors and delivers bespoke training to all industries as well as
  modern apprenticeships.
- Acorn Fund – The Chamber runs a loan fund for Hull City Council to help start
  up businesses who have difficulty in accessing finance elsewhere. Both small
  grants and loans are available.
