Connexions

Connexions is a youth support service which provides information, advice, guidance, support and personal development opportunities for all 13-19 year olds. For many this will simply involve helping them to decide which route to take at 16. For others greater support is needed because lifestyle issues get in the way which can influence their approach to learning and work, preventing them from reaching their full potential. These issues, for example, can include problems resulting from drug or substance misuse, depression, homelessness, pregnancy or getting into trouble with the law.

In the Humber sub-region, Connexions Humber manages the service for young people, who are also actively involved in its design. We employ Personal Advisors who engage with and support young people, operating in partnership with schools, colleges and other organisations, such as the Youth Service and Social Services.
