Bizworld

The "Stichting BizWorld" is a non-profit organization with economic projects with Dutch elementary schools. The BizWorld programme is an entrepreneur's curriculum for children in eighth grade (12 years of age). The BizWorld mission is to challenge and engage children across the cultural and economic spectrum through
experiential learning programs that teach the basics of business, entrepreneurship, and money management and promote teamwork and leadership in the classroom.
The BizWorld programme originates from the United States for which the "Stichting BizWorld" has an exclusive agreement to operate in The Netherlands. The United States organisation, The BizWorld Foundation based in San Francisco, California USA (http://www.bizworld.org/).
The BizWorld Programme
In the BizWorld programme, students work in teams to start and run their own small businesses in a simulated friendship bracelet industry. Taking on different leadership roles, students learn the basics of money management (all done in Biz-Euros’!) and entrepreneurship, as they apply for jobs, and design, manufacture,
market and sell their products in the BizWorld marketplace. The classroom is divided in teams as a result op job vacancies that need to be filled. Each student applies for one of the following jobs; President, VP Finance,VP Sales, VP Manufacturing, VP Design, VP Marketing. The students take on their responsibilities to run and manage their companies.
