£5000 Blossoms!
Supporters of youth enterprise activities in Hull, St Stephen's and the Gerard School of Football, are joining forces to support future footballers in the City.

St. Stephen's who have a growing reputation for helping the local community, initiating enterprise programmes such as 'Make £5 blossom' and Enterprise Week is giving The Gerard School of Football £5,000 with a view to helping the academy grow and offer more places for local children.
The Gerard School of Football (GSF) is one of the first private enterprises of its kind in Hull. Set up by full time student Gerard Jones and Make Your Mark Ambassador; the School of Football delivers specialist football and athletic performance training to boys and girls of all abilities. The staff includes professionals in sports nutrition, rehabilitation and psychology and the wide range of coaching services is bound to make sure that the football school will become an important part of the community.
Jim Harris from St. Stephen's shopping centre said, 'By offering this £5,000 sponsorship we hope that we can build a long term relationship with GSF with a view to helping the academy grow as well as offering more Football School places for local kids. Similarly, we will be using some of the money to set-up a 'scholarship fund' which will make donations to suitable families and individuals to help them both take part in the academy coaching courses.'
